Roads & Maintenance

The Maintenance Dept. is responsible for the safety of their residents, the vehicles that drive through the Village every day and for pedestrians’ safety. The Maintenance Dept. is responsible for maintaining 20 centerline miles of roads, which includes U.S. 50 and East State Rd. Cutting grass in the 65-acre Cleves Park which has 5 baseball fields and 14 soccer fields. The Maintenance Dept. is also responsible for:

1) Blacktop Resurfacing and Pothole repair.
2) Cutting grass and signage on U.S. 50 and East State Rd.
3) Inspecting, cleaning, and repairing catch basins and storm sewer pipes.
4) Plowing and salting Village streets during the winter months.
5) Street painting, parking lots, and crosswalks.
6) Stop, No Parking, Street Name and Speed Zone signs
7) Street cleaning.
8) Sidewalk and curb repair.
9) Creek cleaning and grass cutting along the banks.
10) Traffic lights and intersections.
11) Maintain Village owned buildings and grounds.
